Little Big Lies

BIG LITTLE LIES by Liane Moriarty

Pirriwee Public’s annual school Trivia Night has ended in a shocking riot. One parent is dead. The school principal is horrified. As police investigate what appears to have been a tragic accident, signs begin to indicate that this devastating death might have been cold-blooded murder.

“Oh, calamity!”

“Those we love don’t go away, they sit beside us every day.”

“It’s because a woman’s entire self-worth rests on her looks,” said Jane. “That’s why. It’s because we live in a beauty-obsessed society where the most important thing a woman can do is make herself attractive to men.”

“All conflict can be traced back to someone’s feelings getting hurt, don’t you think?”

Liane Moriarty, Big Little Lies

I had this book in my possession since it was released and just never got around to reading it. It was the perfect way to end the year and begin 2015. I liked Big Little Lies more than The Husband’s Secret, the story just seemed better put together.

If you haven’t read it, add it to your TBR!
